Tom Gresham retweeted this saying he’d teased this. Doesn’t know if they will return or not.
I wonder if they are letting inventory catch up with demand or what.

I was planning to buy a 10/22 as a knock around plinker in the next few weeks, and I was about to be really annoyed when I saw the OP

There are some iconic Ruger guns on that list: Number 1, Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk, Redhawk, Super Redhawk and 77 Series rifle to name a few. I hope this doesn't mean Ruger is in bad financial shape.

Academy has threaded barrel wood stock for $300. I got a sparrow 22 suppressor from LA firearms for it too. Very cool to shoot.

I was planning to go base 32000 and put a suppressor on it, depending on whether I could put hands on the former locally, just to make sure I don’t hate the polymer stock.

Then again, everything I’ve read tells me I’m going to end up wanting to swap that shite out anyway, so who knows

It’s a publicly traded company but what interesting about it is Beretta tried a hostile takeover and failed.

This saga around Ruger would make an interesting book.

The company was built on the Mark 1 and Single Six. Hard to believe the SS is stopping…but more people are probably buying Wranglers.

Better suppressors for the money. Resilient Jessie’s Girl Al, CMNG Zeroed 22, and more. The sparrow is tried and true but has significant first round pop.

Let me know how it shoots. The bolt and inside of receiver in the past have been very rough and the extractor sucks. I wonder if they’ve improved their machining.

Do you like cocking the hammer each time? Do you like loading one round at a time? I just don’t understand why someone would buy a Blackhawk over a Redhawk. What’s your reasoning? I might be missing something.

I have several SA revolvers and several DA revolvers. 95% of the time I’m cocking a DA as the pull is so heavy on a DA.
If if was for a defensive situation I’d want the DA but for just shooting the SA is fine.

SA is typically lighter though.
My 4” Blackhawk in .45 lc is awesome as is my single six which shoots both lr and wmr.

Modern single action revolvers are uber safe and theyre easy to shoot well. Single six is one of the nicest. 22 pistols on the market.

Ruger is suspending basically all of their "traditional" product to focus on the plastic stuff, which undoubtedly has higher margins. It sucks.

I bought for convenience. Just wanted to get a suppressor while it was easy. Haven’t hunted squirrels in years but looking forward to doing some this year. Just need to mount and zero scope.

My first thought was this was driven by the recent NFA developments. I'd be focusing on SBRs and integrated suppressors if I wanted to make some coin.

Still kicking myself in the arse for not buying one of these in .308 at the beginning of Covid when they were around the $900 price point
