Tuna sushi the day we caught them.
Along with never frozen ling, snapper, reds trout or sacalait, out of the boat in the grease.

Agree 100%, but snapper on the half shell BBQed on the boat is a home run.

To me it's tough to beat speckled trout or lightly seared tuna
I love redfish on the half shell

I caught Flathead catfish (wtf is an opelousas spotted catfish? the guy at the marina told me thats what it was) in Toledo bend once and it was amazing. Beautiful white meat

You're an Aggie and therefor a cocksucker but your list is fairly legit. I'd have to replace catfish with Mahi and add Flounder near the top.

1. Chilean Sea Bass
2. Crappie
3. Bream
4. Bass
5. Catfish

.... I'm mostly a freshwater guy.... but that Sea Bass was AMAZING.

I like trout, redfish, snapper... etc.....
come to think of it I haven't had much fish I didn't like.

Nearly all my fishing has been freshwater, in the south. So, my list is limited.

But, the best tasting fish I've CAUGHT:

1. Crappie
2. Pompano
3. Bass, I guess

I'd add Sauger to the list, but I've only caught one, and I didn't eat it. I ate them as a kid though. But, as far as catching them, they're like unicorns for me.

Yellow perch deserve a mention, but I haven't eaten enough of them to develop a strong opinion of their ranking.

One of the coolest things I've seen is my friend catching a greenling only to have a ling cod follow it and then grabbing the greenling. I netted them both and threw the greenling back.

The old hitchhiker. I have yet to get one netted.

I have eaten walleye once or twice and it's deserving of a mention as well.

It happened twice in 4 days last June at Neah Bay. Got it on the Go Pro once.

croaker, hands down the best, not easy to catch any of size but very tasty sweet white flaky meat

followed closely by bream but i can handle the small bones so i avoid eating them

3rd would be speckled trout, "natural seasoned" not any of those flavored batter

Have you caught one? Easily my favorite to eat, but I've never been anywhere I could catch one. If I'm feeling like a baller, I'll pick up a few pounds. Usually not though.

I'm really surprised with all the speckled trout answers. The draw to specks for me has always been sheer numbers. It's fine to eat fried, but a lot of fish are. It doesn't really hold up to grilling as well as other fish.

I'd honestly rather eat redfish or sheepshead as far as inshore fish go.

Fish that I’ve oersonally caught?

Redfish
Speckled Trout
Flounder

My dad was a spear fisher before he died. I’d say cobia.

My favorite fish though is Mahi Mahi or fresh tuna.
