I’m holding some $40 11/20s. Got for $6 and up 60% on them
I’m going to keep holding them all
Orvis superfine glass is a ton of fun as is an epic fastglass

You don't need 9' for pond fishing

I’ve been catching a lot of largemouth, spots, redeye, smallmouth, and striper since moving to Birmingham 5 years ago.
Top left box is mostly for musky but I’ll use it for striper certain times of year.
Bottom left box is my bass box
Top right is crustaceans
Bottom right is baitfish and topwater

There’s some really fun streamer patterns for bass but like bluemoons said topwater is just easiest for neighborhood ponds

Orvis will usually have the Boogle bugs on sale at least once a year and that’s when I load up on them

Presume home is relatively new.

As buyer, that ain’t in my vocabulary

Home is 65 years old. We had 5 offers with all 5 coming in over ask with waived inspections.

There's still some competitive markets but the houses that are sitting are overpriced.
I think shitty and overpriced inventory is building up but nicer houses are still selling very quickly.

We just closed on selling our house in Birmingham for $50k over ask with waived inspections and renting it back for free for 6 weeks.

In other words, my son could have gotten married for $17K today, if he had the wedding his mother and I had

And I’m telling you he couldn’t.
How much would a honeymoon in Hawaii cost today?
How much would a kegger in the hills cost?

Sure people are doing more extravagant things but everything is way more expensive now than it was back then. The value of the dollar doesn’t come close to touching that difference.

Hopedale marina is a shorter run but you need to know where you’re going. Campos is a straight shot but you’re in the MRGO the whole time.

This is incorrect. There’s no straight shot to get to the long rocks in the MRGO. Makes zero sense to launch at campos when trying to go to long rocks.

Your options are either run the spoil canal out or take loutre to bakers and pop back out on the backside of the rocks on the GO and run the mrgo the rest of the way.
Ponds under an acre are incredibly difficult to manage. Ponds with crappie are also extremely difficult to manage. I’d damn near drain it and start from scratch.
I agree. Brought it to Boat Stuf in hammond and they told us it needed to be replaced as the parts to rebuild it were out of stock/backordered/discontinued.

I'll give David Wade a call
Tilt and trim on my 2016 Yamaha F200 is shot and needs to be rebuilt. The motor won’t stay in the trimmed up position. There’s a place in Florida called five star marine that does rebuilds but wondering if any of you baws have used anyone local for a rebuild.
I have one. It's awesome

Probably selling it if anyone in the birmingham area needs one..

Nah, we make this trip 2-3 times a year. I do know of a few good ones up there if you need one.

I don't, thank you tho. We had two rafts up there and we were the only people not running jet boats and side drifting nymphs so it was a miserable time for us

And here I am excited about my trip in June to the white river

Are you going with a guide? We went to ozarks last June on a smallmouth trip but the the places we wanted to fish got blown out badly by some storms while we were there so we went to the white for a day.
Been catching some big stripers around Alabama the last few weeks. Heading to Puerto Rico in a few weeks for a wedding and plan to tarpon fish for a day while I’m there.
