It’s not what you know. It’s what you can make people think you know.

I live in the imposter syndrome zone even though I shouldn't. It causes a shite ton of anxiety with me that stems back more than a decade.

Today I am the expert in the room. I am the one who has actually been there and actually done that. I shouldn't feel this way, but I'm not sure I will ever shake it.

I’m in a sales role where managers make far less than the decent reps. They are in their position because they want the steady paycheck and not because they are superior or have been forged in the fire.
So I have to listen to these imposters every week and pretend like they know that the frick they are talking about. It’s nauseating and I lose more respect for them with every passing day.

Fake it till you make it.

Fear of failure can be very motivating to a degree. Can’t make it paralyze you though.

There are known knows, known unknowns, and unknown unknowns.

When you can swing it, be the last to speak in any important meeting.

Big time. I think it’s actually a byproduct of less overall threat in our worlds compared to the rest of human history.

Stress is a reflection of our own internal prioritization system it’s easy for that to go out of whack these days

I don’t have imposter syndrome per se, but I am in medical sales and sometimes I feel like the biggest damn moron in the building. I get paid to have the gift of gab, but I do not understand half the shite that comes out of my mouth. I just know how to verbalize it.

If you never have imposter syndrome in your life, than I would question your intelligence

It's okay. Nobody really knows how to fix the shake machine.

I’d rather not say. It’s a niche thing and I like my anonymity here.

Its nothing particularly interesting or impressive but the margins are fat and it’s hard to frick up the sale so it suits me very well!

I had it at many times in my career but what largely made it go away was realizing I'm actually much better at my job than most people.

The number of truly gifted, remarkable, hyper excellent people is quite small and they make everyone else feel inadequate, however after I realized I was "pretty good" compared to the average, I've been fine since.

I think a big reason it exists is because most people are very familiar with their own weaknesses and aggressively work to hide them, so they feel like they are somehow inadequate. They lightbulb moment should be that everyone else around you is doing the same thing.
