All my weapons randomly stashed around my house so i know that if the person does happen to be hiding inside they didn’t arm myself with my weapon.

This happened. I went to the storage room and grabbed my machete. Went in and all the TVs were gone, but no one was there.

One of the strangest things about the break-in was the thief took (among other things) my bed comforter and all of my personal hygiene stuff like soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc. The cop said they just clean out all the contents of bathroom cabinets and countertops and go through it later looking for prescription meds. They throw it all in a sheet or blanket and haul it out in a bundle.

Been there done that…
Stepped in and noticed back patio doors kicked in.. had to go look for my dog.. was concerned she went out and just moved in and no back fence yet..
stopped.. called the cops.. gave them my address .. asked they stay on the phone as a went back into the rooms looking for her.. she was sleeping in my bedroom..talked to cops on phone as I went looking. Got her stepped back out.. did not go to other rooms. Waited for cops.

my friend came home to her front door kicked open so she called the police, didn't go in. when the cops entered the thieves had left a calling card like the wet bandits - they'd lined up all her dildos on the living room table. everyone shared a good awkward laugh
