Once my kids grew past certain Christmas beliefs, I sought out working those holiday weeks. Everyone was off and I didn't have to put up with all the normal bs.

No Jesus was born December 25th

Well, there is vacation or the one nobody likes to use but available Leave Without Pay.

No. But Halloween on the otherhand should always be on the last Saturday in October. There is ZERO reason for it not to be.

Discuss Orthodox views on Jesus' birthday, January 6th. Christians fight!
I DGAF when it's celebrated, we should dump a bunch of other holidays and block off non essential work like school districts do Christmas break. I'll take a couple of conference calls, but I'm not driving in and pretending with the other 10% of people that have no PTO left and are just marking time.

That's Epiphany on the Roman Calendar and the end of the Xmas season.

July 4th. Hence, Christmas in July

I literally said this exact thing to my wife earlier this week. Just make it the 4th Friday of December. Most people would get off the Thursday and Friday, and have a 4 day weekend at a minimum.

Jesus isn’t real. Buying plastic shite for tradition is.

You were on the right track initially by not taking it seriously

I was already over my head when I posted about it. I'm confused as shite, especially when Catholic stuff starts getting involved. At least you have one calendar, unlike us. It's apparently the year 5785, didn't ya know? (I can't explain that either.)
When the Christians in "secular" Europe check out varies, even if they're not Orthodox. I actually like the variability, because if you do international work, you can just shrug and say, "we will see in mid January" starting in late November if you deal with the EU/EEA. The Italians are gnarly, they open a door in this building somewhere in Rome, and 25% of Catholics in Europe show up and the city shuts down. I guess working in the UAE may be the penultimate way to avoid work for the max possible; you have every religion on the planet, and people just disappear for random reasons, and nobody skips a beat. Ramadan? St. Crispin's day? ANZAC day? Who knows, but someone isn't working.
