That video demonstrates exactly why I stopped purchasing from Chewy. Back to back deliveries dumped into the middle of the driveway was enough for me. Chewy did refund the purchase cost and included a coupon for the next purchase but after the second time I was done. I don't know anyone here in SE Ohio that's satisfied with FedEx service.
This is gonna ramble but it has some good info ......I had a problem with flying squirrels. It was my own fault in that I ignored them for too long and they established themselves in the attic and a couple of those useless storage closets under the steep roof. No exterminator would guarantee getting them out and keeping them out so I took it as a personal challenge.
The first thing I did was throw out everything stored in the under the eaves closets. They were nesting in that trash and leaving waste everywhere. I bought some trail cams and attached them to 5 gallon buckets. I set the buckets at various places inside and outside to see how bad my problem was and to determine where they entered and exited the house. Placing the cameras on buckets allowed me to reposition them in seconds and was really helpful to help me determine the best places to set traps. I learned they spent huge amounts of time in the crawl space under the house. I set glue traps (hated them but hated the squirrels more) and live traps in the attic and the crawl space and checked them first thing every morning. The glue traps caught a lot of them and were really easy to use. I learned the best way to catch them with the live traps was to put a bird seed block into the trap and then leave it open. The squirrels always started picking at it from outside the trap but after a few days would enter and get their fill. Once I saw that on the camera I closed the one way door and the next morning had two or three every time. I closed every hole I found they were using and every potential opening I could find with a heavy gauge 1/4" wire mesh. In my case the two big areas were attic vents and the line running from the HVAC unit and through the foundation block. To a lesser extent they entered by way of the soffit at one corner of the house. I ended up putting a wire barrier on all of the corners. I live close to woods but the cameras showed me they routinely glided from the hickory trees in my yard to the chimney and then had an entrance behind the chimney. I had all five of the hickory trees removed. It took me about two months of constant surveillance and knocking out holes one at a time but eventually I got them all. I don't know the number I had but it was easily into double digits. Let me add that the use of cameras and putting them on the buckets was the key.
Good luck. It isn't easy. They're like mice with wings.

There's an old public service commercial that can still be found on YouTube ...... "When you're busted for drugs over there, you're in for the hassle of your life."
It should be dragged back out and shown every day.

Whoever they are, she's influencing them in a way that the law doesn't matter.
I can tell you it isn't easy. I've been going through this with my wife (just turned 67). I essentially took the keys out of her hands about 2 years ago and about every 6 weeks we go through the 'I don't know why I'm not allowed to drive. Who says I can't drive? This is all your fault for me not driving. I have no independence.' Lasts about 20 minutes. At no time can she be reasoned with. I just listen and let the verbal blows roll off. An hour later all's good again.
I have no advice. You just do it because it has to be done for everyone's safety. Good Luck.

Unless the Senate goes back to requiring a two thirds majority to install federal judges we'll always have this partisan system we're into now. The two thirds majority forces bipartisanship and compromise. Simple majority does not.
Last time I had to go through this, vet came out to my truck and we did it while I cried my eyes out holding her in the back. Still had to go in to pay but took the time to get my act together.
Of all the dogs that I've gone through this with she was the hardest. We've got three dogs now and this will be the last of them. My wife has early stage dementia and it's all falling down on me.

Don't do anything. Most of us have gotten through it just fine and in my personal experience, my parents made it worse by always wanting to talk about it. That was 50 years ago and I know that it was the same 50 years earlier and 50 years earlier than that. Hearts get broken. Hearts heal. Leave her alone unless she wants something.
re: Maine Governor Says If Trump Cuts Off Fed Funds Then No Maine Resident Will Pay Fed Taxes

I read that as Maine will collect and hold the federal taxes as replacement of federal funding.
Here in SE Ohio I complain that ours is 1.1% of market value. Glad I don't live in Texas.
Whatever became of the Kamala Harris interview edit? Last I heard was the transcript was going to be turned over to someone but I never heard anything after that.

I was let go twice in the early 80's. It was tough everywhere. I had the opportunity to return to the first company about three years later and retired from it after 37 years. There were ups and downs, violent contact disputes, layoffs, restructuring, and ownership changes. It was seldom smooth sailing but who says life is easy.

I miss a local newspaper. Growing up, one of my biggest thrills was seeing my name or my team in the paper. Mom always clipped the write-ups and put them aside. Still have some but most were destroyed in a fire. Anyhow I think it's just a few short years until the printed newspaper is gone forever.
As long as man exists we'll be asking for directions.
I'm surprised land lines still exist but we still have one. Cell service is spotty on a good day here in the hills of southeastern Ohio so we'll have one as long as it's still serviceable. This isn't the old AT&T dedicated phone line though. I think that's been gone from here for years although I still see old phone lines on the poles. Our house phone if through Spectrum now so when the power goes out so does the phone.

I had one back in the 90's and absolutely loved it. We were getting pounded with snow and I was getting tired of putting chains on my old pickup every other day just to get up and down a few hills on the way to work. Drove by a car dealer and setting on top of this giant snow pile was a Samauri. Pulled in and took it home. It would literally go anywhere. I never felt like it was going to roll over as long as I stayed within the speed limits, but heck, it would hardly exceed the speed limit. The one thing that was a little scary was wind gusts. They would come out of nowhere and shove you across the lane. A little unnerving at first but I like a bit of excitement. I'll never forgot driving to a football game with my buddy when a gust hit us and he screamed like a little girl. LOL! I make fun of him to this day.
The only criticism I have is the soft cover on the spare. Had a flat one time and found out someone had inserted a knife blade through the cover and the tire. Two things I've learned are people are pigs and a$$e$.

Line item veto or even better, stand alone bills.
re: Would you be OK with changing Christmas to a certain day of the week, like Thanksgiving?
Posted by Kmit58 on 12/13/24 at 8:50 pm to East Coast Band
Once my kids grew past certain Christmas beliefs, I sought out working those holiday weeks. Everyone was off and I didn't have to put up with all the normal bs.
How do they know the answer is right?
The quote “Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times” is attributed to G. Michael Hopf.
Yes but it's been 40+ years. High school friends, college roommates, people I was close to years ago. We all grew up, grew apart, moved away. One day one showed up at my door just to wish me a happy birthday. We had such a good time I wondered about others so I tracked some of my closer friends down and contacted them. No regrets.

You get that same ride here in SE Ohio.
Seems to me that as the issue moves from state to state and resolves itself one state at a time, that it should be of a lesser concern nationally and the thinking that women are going to turn out from sea to sea might be mistaken.
