Not at all.

I’d be a little put off that my fiancé didn’t have the nerve to bring it up and left it to dad, though. Too old for that.

Yes, I would be offended for asking in front of the whole crew.

Your lady should have handled it, but if he had to be the one, he should have did it in private. Enjoy your life living with daddy and trying to live up to him.

You can be more successful than him and he will still be involved in your life.

I'd a person inherets money, then croaks, and has no children or other living immediate heirs, will it pass to next of kin, or be seized by the state?

No issue with it at all. Anyone that doesn't sign a prenup is a fricking moron.

If you tell her you want her to sign a prenup then you know what her true intentions are.

If Sloan was my fiancee and her father, Terrance, wanted me to sign a pre-nup, then I'd sign on the dotted line the moment he asked. Instead, that bitch boy Eric threw away a couple of years of getting to bed Sloan.

could you describe this scene exactly?
Doesn't sound like something a succeful and respectful man would do. That's not a good sign.

No, a-hole. If she is working in the business and is getting an interest in the business as she continues to work in the business, her husband can make a claim that the business interest is community property. Why in the f*ck would he be asking him to sign a prenup if it's all her separate property.

He's trying to run you off. The money itself is no big deal. It's whether your future wife will be on your side or her father's side of things. That could become a HUGE problem. You need to have a serious talk with your fiance. The way your future FIL treated you is a symptom you need to understand.

Except it probably is his business, built with his own efforts.

You were tested. And the correct question when you and your wife inherit and have a daughter who has a serious boyfriend, is the same one you were asked.

Have your mother call her out at a family get together, in front of God and everybody. Have mom tell her that after you are married, the new bride will be responsible for 5 BJ's, and four different sex acts per week, one of which will be anal, in perpetuity.

Have mom tell her the contract will be drawn up and sent to her to sign.

Your questions will all be answered.

No, I wouldn't be offended. As others have said, he is just testing you.
