re: The narrative that college football is unsafe to play in the covid pandemic - HueyP on 8/8/20 at 7:08 pm
Your risk of death or severe disease age 30 or younger is minuscule. This has turned into the biggest hysteria in know history. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. ...

re: What is the point of wearing a mask while driving? - HueyP on 8/8/20 at 4:26 pm
Or just maybe they are wearing it from point A to point B. I was hoping one of y’all would see me this am as I drove from the feed store 5 minutes down the road to the auto parts store. 5 minute ride why bother taking it off to put it right back on? ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

Or they could report results to the date the test were taken. Numbers for a few weeks would be dynamic. However, data would be a more useful barometer of reality. Really sad commentary of statistical reporting when the most useful statistics are from a football message board! I keep my own loc...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: Hey Karen, Your cat was delicious. - HueyP on 8/3/20 at 8:07 am
We lost an outside cat a few years ago. I’m pretty sure the coyotes got her. I’ve noticed a few dead coyotes on the highway around here since then. I’ve also noticed there are no feral cats or wild rabbits around here anymore. I’ve also noticed a bunch of missing cat reports on the neighborhood app...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

re: August 1, 1941 - Japan is Getting Hungry, Barbarossa is Confused - HueyP on 8/1/20 at 6:04 pm
Japan needed everything, oil, iron and food. They were insane to spread out onto remote islands and strand forces. They were so spread out they couldn’t defend what they needed. US submarines didn’t make things any better for them. Rivalry between their Army and Navy was a huge problem that under...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: August 1, 1941 - Japan is Getting Hungry, Barbarossa is Confused - HueyP on 8/1/20 at 5:53 pm
Hitler’s biggest blunder was not primarily going south first and securing the oil reserves of the Balkans. Oil was Hitlers primary problem. Hitler lost the war because of no oil, period. Being stupid didn’t help either. He had no need for Stalingrad early. Moscow woulda been nice early but he ne...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: I cannot even fathom what life was like during WWII for the average person - HueyP on 7/22/20 at 11:07 am
Ever wonder what it would be like to be a marine fighting in the South Pacific on one of the island campaigns. When 3/4 of your buddies were dead. Minimal water , K rations , 100+ degree heat and a bunch of crazed Japanese soldiers behind every tree rock or bush that has nothing better to do than d...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: “Flatten the curve” has made a national comeback, - HueyP on 7/21/20 at 7:13 pm
Flattening the curve is like a diet. Once you hit your goal weight you have to keep your weight at the goal. Same with the covid curve you can’t relax and go back to prior bad habits....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: What happens when we take off the masks? - HueyP on 7/19/20 at 2:12 pm
With this virus things change as more is learned about it. Viruses are dynamic particles . Very difficult to study and understand. Humans are fallible and often have different opinions. To deal with the constant changes in our knowledge the only constant is change. You have to be prepared to chang...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: We knew it was coming, Advocate article about LSU mascot and confederate ties - HueyP on 7/19/20 at 1:12 pm
The author conveniently shows but one tiny faucet of the history of the “fighting tigers”. Like most everyone with an agenda he highlighted one small faucet he wants to exploit for his own means. It is my understanding the “fighting tigers” were formed to fight way before and stayed in existence ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
