You can. You will just be at the back. Do it all the time.

I do. But it’s gotten increasingly difficult over the years with people moving their entire living room on the parade route.

How can you possibly prohibit pets on the parade route? That’s actually insane.

Probably put in place to keep folks from walking their Breed of Peace dogs through the crowds.

Why would you bring your pet to the parade route? Sounds horrible.

Metairie parades are great if you want to catch recycled beads and see rental floats built for other Krews

Hey, brah, I can set up at Daquiris and Creams and watch little Ashleigh and Braylen set themselves up on the curb of Vets. They don't really care about the floats and don't give much of a shite about the beads being recycled as long as they catch some.

But there is the problem. You have no claim. People can walk right up to you and you have no legal ability to do anything about it.

Don't be poor. Rent space above the parade route in advance.

If someone actually wants to bring their dog to a parade I’m going to assume they’re retarded or have some sort of psychological disability.

I think you were being sarcastic but that is how I grew up with MG. The parents hung back drinking (whether Metairie or Uptown) and it was just kids and crazy old ladies up front fighting for beads. Adults were never up there in the thick of things. As it should be.

just for the bands but if you’re in a spot where things are fluid it’s easy enough to move in and out. What happens is these tent cities box people in and keep the natural ebb and flow from happening. Sidewalk side has less of this so it’s always the better option

I've been battling Tulane students since the late 90's for space. This 'claim your land' concept has been around for decades. Either go get your space or stay home. Its as easy as that.

I’m sorry are recycled beads and trinkets worth a lot less than new bought beads and trinkets?
