St. George followed Baker, Zachary & Central in not including funding for constitutional offices. So they do not fund the parish prison, DA or the coroner.

I agree. Like I said these tax renewals usually have like 12% voter turnout and that’s how they pass. Every single time.
But I don’t think it’s right to take what the voters that do show up have approved. People need to pay attention and start voting on these kinds of things. There’s no excuse.

I’m going to vote yes because I think it’s the only option the parish have but I don’t agree with it.
On one hand, the library gets way too much money. I understand voters approved that however we all know that these tax renewals always happen on obscure election dates with 12% voter turnout. So do the majority of voters really approve of the amount of money the library is getting? Probably not, just too lazy to go vote.
At the same time, I don’t think it’s right to “steal” (for lack of better words) their funds to right BR’s shitty spending habits and lack of planning.
With all the said, I don’t think it passes. It’s too confusing and communications haven’t been clear enough.
Then you have retards like Gravy Chambers saying not to vote for it because some of the money will go to St. George as if they aren’t part of EBR parish :lol:
