They are shutting down the parks with the biggest spaces/fields and consolidating the larger numbers of kids at the smaller parks.

If they were going to consolidate Cleary and Bright into 1 playground, Bright was the obvious choice and honestly cleary’s footprint probably would be good for tennis complex. My understanding is that JP couldn’t convert Cleary bc of legal reasons related to how the Cleary land was turned over to the parish.

My Miley banners say otherwise! Seriously though, Cleary would actually have made more sense to convert to something else and send everyone to Bright but my understanding is that the donation of land fo Cleary to exist prevents the land from being used for anything other than a JPRD park.

Imo, JPRD’s waiver decision and eliminating “districts” for in parish people exacerbated issues. Lakeshore and Girard who already had rather large #s got tons of waivers from Lakeview and Kenner. Then allowing people to make a one time choice of any available JPRD park led to even more movement. The parish could have directed waivers to parks with lower #s but large footprints (Jefferson, Bright, and Delta).
No. This decision outlaws race based gerrymandering.

Those pitchers are still playing travel ball, so how can you say the pitching in rec ball is more competitive when the kids who are pitching good all play travel ball?

He said why. The mound is at 46’. Most 12U travel ball throws from at least 50’. That’s a big difference.

That being said, OP is probably referring to the Eastbank LL who is allowed to pull an Allstar team from essentially all of Metairie and possibly even the River Parishes. It will always be an insanely good team that basically has a decent shot every year to make it to LLWS or at least the regional games which are also on ESPN.

We traded a coin flip roster spot for someone who was the 7th pick overall 3 years ago. Seems a worthwhile gamble to me

Who has also shown improvement. Seems like a no brainer to me.
Honestly I think Brown is more for return abilities than anything

That being said, our WR room outside of Olave was a bunch of journeymen at best level players.
Bc that’s a proven tactic to break up a group that would otherwise be aligned. Do y’all not remember Covid??

Being on the same weekend as Hogs for the Cause probably didn't help attendance.

Agree but more bc of the weather than Hogs (I think part of the big draw for Hogs is the great outdoor weather of early April in Nola). I think you should save this type of event for May, June, July, August when the heat is high and people will be looking to spend a day inside the Superdome’s AC.

Scheduling indoor events in Nola in March and April isn’t the best strategy.
I mean you also need to look where the highest concentrations of athletes reside. They will stay closer to home unless there is a reason (NIL $) to move farther from home.

Were SEC teams were doing shady things? Yeah probably But so were the Big 10 schools. The difference now I believe that since paying players is “legal” the payments are getting MUCH higher and much more spread out among all the players.

We’re fricking 4-5 in SEC, unranked, on the road. Don’t even care he was aggressive this team needs some type of momentum. If he’s safe by 1” everyone would be praising the aggressiveness

Ok. Still a dumb move.

That is a mistake that cannot be made. Why send him? That was bad, bad.

Exactly! 2nd and 3rd with no outs. No reason to take that chance.

It’s really mind-boggling how that dumb bitch is on the Supreme Court

Is it though? The Biden Admin wanted someone who they could count on to always side their way. Also people keep saying how “dumb”she is. She seems like exactly who they wanted on the court. If she was dumb as people claim then she would make unbiased mistakes.
This was more of a bat throw than a bat flip. Personally I think he could have done a much more “taunting” style bat flip. He launched a kind of awkward top heavy object pretty much as hard as he could around a whole bunch of people.

Imo it was a dumb move not bc he was showboating but dumb bc he could have accidentally hurt someone.
My uncle came down with a nasty case of shingles right after getting the Covid shot.

Might be the most aggressive bat flip I’ve ever seen , some lucky fan almost got a trip to the er and a souvenir

This.
Maybe if it was a Game Winner. Still a lot of baseball. Honestly he was lucky he didn’t get kicked out or get Braun a welp on his back.
Wade makes LSU Basketball Fun and Entertaining while always fielding competitive teams! He also just get “IT”! Can’t really explain what “it” is but he just makes you want to like him and his teams.

Also 2.5 days from cutting the cord. It depends on when the kid is born (0100 vs 1130, etc.) Put the hospital address in DoorDash now.

This. It’s funny though. Your first kid you want to stay longer but by the 2nd you’ll be ready to get out of there as soon as possible.
Has this person actually had a debate with an actual Christian theologian? It’s one thing to spout things off in an podcast where nobody can actually fact check you. I would be curious how this guy would do in a debate with someone like Bishop Robert Barron or Scott Hahn.
