Yet almost the entire population will not only defend the bad behaviors but be arrogant about it. It's unreal!
Ive lived multiple states and in Europe, all for over a years time.
Louisiana, specifically Lake Charles, is the rarest place I've ever encountered in my entire life.
The lack of self-awareness on top of the defense of bad behavior is beyond anything a normal person could consider believable.
The people would rather defend the behavior than correct it and its because they are mostly alcoholics and pill heads. When I say not an opinion, I really mean it.

Highest taxed population is the poorest. Where does the money go …… ?

A major part of it IMHO is the shittyness of outside the cities. All southern cities suck, but:
In the other southern states the suburbs are nice, clean, new, and have good public schools. Good places for young college grads to start a family
In Louisiana, even our suburbs are dirty and old with not much of a public school option. Compare Metairie and Kenner to suburbs outside of Atlanta, Birmingham, Houston, Nashville, etc

I’d say crooked and worthless officials and poor population. Sucks the taxpayers dry with no gain in return.

Dont blame "we" until you tell me how you vote. Then I'll know if you and I are "we" or you are the problem.
No one, they all shouldve been abortions the way they act. All of them.

To be fair, Birmingham is oddly one of the places in the US that has both coal and iron deposits, which is why there is a cool statue of Vulcan there (steel industry isn't new). They are also closer to a major land transport hub (ATL) to ship the cars around the country than either LA or MS are.

Louisiana is a lost cause. Don’t waste your breath or thoughts on how or why it could be better. Simply deal with it or move on.
You either accept it for what it is or decide it’s not for you and try somewhere else. It’s plain and simple. Don’t be that person who won’t leave yet they constantly bash the state. Nobody is forcing you to stay there just leave it.

Yep, if you’re not in the club you need to move away.

Thats the thing.
If you are wealthy, Louisiana is the best state to live in.
I am telling you. Low property tax. You can kind of dictate your tax expense by regulating spending.
If you are a tight wad, louisiana can make you very very wealthy.

When we get the chance to vote for positive change we do 1 of 4 things.
1. Are in fear of the future and vote against any changes.
2. Are convinced any legislation is a scam and benefits the politicians and their friends.
3. Let our hatred for a politician and those emotions override our common sense when voting for positive change.
4. Lack the cognitive ability to see the path to a better state and expect all legislation to be perfect.
We'd rather watch the state die than take any risk. In general, I find the state to be pessimistic compared to other places I've been.
Louisiana should be a very rich state. We're loaded with natural resources, live in a sports paradise and have one of the most unique cultures and all it's trappings (food music, etc).

Don't want to see natives leaving, but I much rather be the lighter shade of blue in this graph than the darkest..

Only thing keeping me here is family. I love the outdoors here. I love LSU football. I love my family and immediate circle of friends. I love my life here honestly. BUT if my family were to all vanish tomorrow I'd be in Texas within a year.

LA is a state run by Democrats calling themselves Republican. Every politician is on the take. Dems policies run everything into the ground.

Our general populace has one of the lowest intelligence levels in the country. We elect people based on nepotism if we even vote at all. Do you think that leads to a prosperous economy and a high quality of life?
Then we need to embrace that and say it out loud for everyone to hear
Then change it.
