Just so I am clear, and in summation:

- Flying to Cali; when I check into my flight on May 22, since there is an Intl destination in my itinerary, the check-in process on American Airlines app will require me to take photos of my passport and potentially myself
- When I get to CLT initially, I will just go through security as normal (may or may not have to present passport) and then get to my gate for my flight
- Gate attendant will check passport with boarding pass

- Delta app is telling me to do something with my passport but it seems a bit early?
- Return trip on May 27, I can just wait to do the MPC app when I land in ATL unless I can do it on the plane near the airport, but unsure since I may/may not have WiFi (certainly not paying for it)

I think there is some preliminary stuff I can go ahead and do in the MPC app though, correct?

Won't be able to do that until 24 hours before the flight, correct? Also, I have flown to Miami before but never as a connection airport, so I am hoping it's fairly easy to navigate where exactly I need to go once I get out of my gate.

Skytrain looks good; I assume I will either be coming out of E needing to get to D or vice versa.

I keep reading about that app but how exactly does it work? Do you just upload pictures of your passport?

Then where do I go in the airport? A special line for people that have this app? Scan a QR code?
