Those were the immortal words of Monquie Turnbull, 31, after recently being asked on a monitored jail telephone why she “did not hide the evidence” of the financial fraud that landed her behind bars.

The female acquaintance with whom Turnbull spoke thought that her friend had not done anything to cover her tracks in connection with the proceeds of a swindle targeting an elderly Florida couple. Turnbull, an arrest report states, explained that was not actually the case.

In fact, her coochie ached because Turnbull (seen at right) had stashed a girthy wad of 47 bills up in there. The $3180, rolled inside a Chase Bank envelope, was somehow not detected when Turnbull was booked last week into the Martin County jail on fraud, grand theft, and other felony counts.

During a second jail call with a different friend, Turnbull “made reference to still having the money,” but noted that the currency “would be ‘bloody’ because she was on her ‘period.’”

Armed with the recorded calls, investigators confronted Turnbull in the rec area of her jail pod. Questioned about her possession of any contraband, Turnbull asked what was considered contraband. After a lieutenant “explained that this included items such as money, drugs, and weapons,” Turnbull copped to the green in her vagina.

Escorted to a shower room, Turnbull fished out the currency and placed it into an evidence bag held by an unfortunate sheriff’s deputy.
