Your logic has failed you.
In both scenarios (we allow gays to be adoptive parents…we don’t allow gays to be adoptive parents) the children would come from the same background.

But in one (banning gay adoption) they're much more likely to stay there and be raised by those parents instead.
I'll take the field against those parents or long-term state custody.

The "Ken and Barbie Killers".
They videotapes the later murders/rapes/dismemberments.
The women made a plea deal before the police found the videos and claimed he abused her and that's why she did it. She got a deal for manslaughter and 12 years. THEN the LEO found the videos where it showed she was a willing participant and possibly the leader of the 2. It caused outrage b/c the prosecution honored the deal.
