During undergrad, I lived in an Airstream for a few months in a Brandon, Mississippi trailer park while working on a movie.

Owning a trailer outright with no mortgage sounds pretty good to me.

They aren't usually a good investment like a house. They depreciate like a vehicle.

Lived in one while going to college in Lafayette. My room mate had inherited it and it was only 45 ft long. Fun part was playing roach darts, yes trying to kill them while they were crawling on the walls with darts. Yes liquor was involved.

Saw a mouse once and set up a trap with peanut butter. Within 2 hours we had killed 10. Fun times

Don’t live in one but am doing a ground up refurb of a 1971 Airstream (31’). When all said and we will have less than $50K in it that will be nicer than any hotel but will be able to go wherever our hearts desire.

Never. If I have to I would want to live in the woods next to a lake or something. I would not want to live in a trailer park.

Know a guy who bought like 50 acres and lived in a single wide in the woods for about 5 years while he made plans and built his 8500 sq ft house on the place.

I lived in one years ago after a divorce and money was tight.
It wasn't in a park so I didn't have to deal with trailer trash.
I took care of it and kept it clean.

It didn't stop me from getting plenty of trim either.
I would live in one again if need be.

Zero.

No one in my immediate family has ever lived in a trailer house.

Log cabin for my Pops.

When folks bitch about living in trashy or unsafe conditions, it says a lot about themselves.
Trailers were not built trashy or unsafe.
I lived in a small trailer for a few months between submarine patrols one off period, with two shipmates. It was very close to a railroad track and trains often came by at 3:00 AM.
But, it was better than living in the Barracks.
Living in a trailer is a great starter, if that is all you can afford.

I lived in a trailer until I was about 5. My parents built their house in 1997, and that’s where I spent the rest of my childhood.
