This is the answer at the moment. Plus super close to Austin for food, healthcare and and fun. Anyone who disagrees Austin is not amazing is stuck in 20 years ago.

Leiden, near Rotterdam. I have a friend there and would love to be closer to her. I travel there every other year for music festivals and to visit friends in Belgium and Germany.

If money were not a factor, it would be one of the ski resort towns…steamboat springs, co is my favorite.

Honestly, Madison, MS is a stellar town as well.

Since we've moved on from practical, and not concerned about jobs (which makes this exercise useless, IMO) on the West side of the Appalachians in Tennessee, or outside Greenville, SC, or near Dahlonega. None of them have H-E-B, so it's not realistic, and the taxes in two of them are dogshite.

I've been interested in Highlands /Cashiers, NC but I can't afford it. Those summer days in the 70s look great right now.
