He brandished a gun. He didn't point a gun at anyone. But I guess that doesn't matter.
Likely he was just a shitty thug and needed to go anyway. Just seemed odd to shoot him in the back as he's walking away.
And you are way too emotionally invested in this.

Gotta love the dude yelling "Bruh, my daughter's outside!" as if he is relatively annoyed that someone is shooting a gun her direction.
So he wants to be father when he’s getting shot at, okay then…

*After threatening someone's life.
You wait for someone to aim first, you'll likely be shooting last.

No that was a different dude in the store yelling about his daughter.

Quick to the draw he was. Practice.

But ire guy at the counter shot him after the threat had passed.
Only if he shot him after he was dead.

Its not fake if its being presented as if its real. And I am sure police want to end the threat before they take the time to find out if its real or not. People are fricking stupid. If it was a real gun and nothing was done about it then it would be that guy's fault for not doing anything about it.. "Police just sat right there and let him shot the man".

Silliness. Always defend yourself with deadly force if called for. Never brandish a weapon as an accessory. A weapon has only one purpose. To be used.

Did the clerk say "take it outside?" Other dude standing there like it's just another day....
Old man saying right at the end…”who the hell is that??” Has me rolling.

Can't wait to see this one on active self protection.

quote:Looks like he made threatening statements and then produced what credibly appeared to be the means to carry out the threat. Did you expect the shooter to wait until the clerk was killed before shooting? Nowhere does our law require such foolish situations from an officer and in most states even from an armed citizen who is acting to protect self or others. Also, the common legal requirement to identify as police is predicated upon the situation permitting the officer to do this safely. Not practical in this situation.
. He had the gun but didn't punt it at anyone yet.
quote:Actually, once a gunfight has started, there are two ways for it to end. The bad guy tosses down the weapons and complies with all lawful commands or the bad guy gets rendered incapable of continuing to harm anyone. In this video the bad guy was running, but started to make a turn when the shooter hit him again.
Then the other guy wasn't threatened and he just started unloading after the guy was leaving.
We also do not know the status of the other officer who may have been outside - in the path of the bad guy.
If I were on the jury - good shoot. If I were this guy's boss, he gets a medal for valorous service.
Moral of the story - when you threaten people with weapons, expect to kill or be killed.
FAFO...

Ah, okay. Thanks for the clarification.

The guy who verbally threatened to take a life and then exhibited a tool to threaten people with was still armed as he entered the outdoor environment with more potential targets.

When someone threatens the life of another and quickly shows everyone present his willingness to reduce his decision to shoot time to a half second by drawing a weapon, does as a reasonable person equipped to stop the threat wait for that half second to elapse with the hope of being quicker on the trigger pull and accuracy?
If someone intentionally presents themselves as a lethal threat and you’re equipped to stop it before innocent people get hurt, you stop it.
