Texas Co-DC Johnny Nansen Arrested On DWI Charge

Texas co-defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach Johnny Nansen was arrested and charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated Wednesday night.
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian confirmed the news Thursday and said the school is still gathering information about the situation.
“We’re obviously disappointed,” Sarkisian said. “I’m still gathering facts. I’m still monitoring the situation.”
Sarkisian did not provide an update on whether Nansen will coach Saturday against UTSA.
Nansen is in his second season as Texas’ co-defensive coordinator after joining the Longhorns from Arizona. Defensive coordinator Will Muschamp currently handles the defensive play-calling duties for Texas.
