As much as I hate most everyone involved and want to see heads roll … what from the “Epstein Files” is actionable? Most everything I’ve seen released has been hearsay, idiots making vague statements about eating people.

If that’s all there is to the files then Trump was right - it, the “files,” is just a hoax designed to distract us.

Don’t get me wrong, I think our upper government and high society is flooded with deviants and pedos … but we can’t just arrest people for how we feel about them. We need evidence otherwise the charges/trials would go nowhere and they would use that as their “vindication.”

PETA has fallen off. 20 years ago they were known for protesting in the nude. It was some weird don’t wear animal skin thing. But some of the chicks were decent Quad worthy.

They at least knew how to get positive attention …

Why am I just hearing of this?

That’s the problem, they will never run out of money.

They have a hundred years of infrastructure built to support the tech industry that will be nearly impossible to replicate, much less compete with it and take any meaningful chunks from it.

Even with that out of the equation, they have largest and closest shipping capacity to the largest manufacturing centers in the world (China, SE Asia, and the growing capacity of Chinese controlled Eastern Africa).

“Yes, things haven’t ended, but that’s only because of all these things we’re doing now, we just need to do more…”

Etc., etc.

They’ve crafted an argument they can’t lose.

I went down this rabbit hole a number of years ago … it turned out that any studies actually done on them showed that they were, at best, a wash when it comes to reducing deaths, but most likely actually increased deaths.

Main problem is that all first responders have to slow down for the damned things. They have to slow down more than the average car/truck and that increases response time. There’s also a psychological issue in that humans get complacent … drivers don’t slow down for pedestrians, they just speed up in between bumps, and pedestrians assume that vehicles are slowing for them so they walk in front of vehicles more when speed bumps are present.

Texas funded a study on them and it ultimately suggested that they be banned in the state - the legislature didn’t go with it. In the late nineties the head of the EMS workers union wrote an open letter urging them to be removed nationwide.
I’m willing to bet that if Dr. Peter Glidden is diagnosed with cancer he’ll take the chemo.

They’ve got a “bases loaded” sponsor???

That had to hurt. Heard that impact from the stands.
I think EVERYONE in the park wanted to see Yorke make that turn for home. :banghead:

First base ump probably called that one foul too.
Umm… is the scoreboard drunk?

Cant wait for someone in the outfield bleachers to post a video on X showing it fair...

According to twitter: the crowd in the press box thought it was fair, someone in 214 said it was fair, and a guy in the RF bleachers said it was fair.

We should finish this game under protest.
