Just group post after group post of people begging for food, rides, presents for kids, money, etc. How has public shame fallen so far away from society?

Yea, not sure why they decided to flood my page with all of those groups over the last month or so... Sometimes I'll read the comments though just to laugh.

Its all beggars and people wishing their spouse, daughter, etc a happy birthday or something instead of just turning to them and saying "Hey...Happy Birthday" because that wouldn't get them some attention

I should add: There seems to be no shortage of "altruistic" fools more than willing to give in to these beggars to satisfy their own personal and public needs, further encouraging them and others to continue hounding people with their demands.

I haven’t been really seeing this on Facebook. I do get a lot of adds though for products.

So, you follow Zachary Rants and Raves?

I follow anonymously. Every now and then I toss out a dis about a fried chicken restaurant. Hilarity ensues.

Zachary really is the new Baker, LA.

As soon as it worked. Now it’s even worse with anonymous posting.

Yep. They don't even have to present publicly anymore.

You know it's going to be a beggar post because they always start off with, "I'm not looking for a handout."

This is why I deleted (or attempted to delete) Nextdoor. I wound up having to unsubscribe to local events, local news, local this and local that, for a month, to finally rid myself of all next door octopus attachments.

That's one of the big buzz phrases along with:

Starting my new job tomorrow
Escaping DV situation
Autistic child
Wrongfully evicted and have to fight it at court
Banking app was hacked and they stole all my money

It seems like people have been begging on FB since it opened to everyone. I opened a FB account when you still needed a college email address to open one. I deleted it about a year after it was open to everyone.

And it blows my mind the lack of shame people have. This is why I really do think bullying should be allowed to exist naturally. It keeps people in check. I've been bullied and have bullied. I thought that was just the natural state of being a kid.

I am not talking about extreme bullying like throwing balls as hard as possible at someone's head in PE or picking peppers, crushing them up and then rubbing them in someone's eyes, which I have witnessed growing up.. But people do need a social checking..
