I sold a $120 printer there for $40 because it was covid and I pretty much couldn't use it and I needed it. I was actively working at the time, unlike any given beggar.

I'm a single mom that just moved my four kids away from their baby daddy. I hate to ask, but if you have furniture, clothes, diapers, food, PS5s or money to spare, we could use some help.

Just group post after group post of people begging for food, rides, presents for kids, money, etc. How has public shame fallen so far away from society?

There are three of these posts minimum on the Ocean Springs Talk of the Town. It's fricking pathetic. The amount of excuses people have for their shitty lives is amazing.

The Talk of the Town groups are absolutely the most prolific offenders.

People still use facebook? It’s probably a good indicator of your IQ.

That's like every local group on FB. People that want you to pay their utility bill or fix their car.

I honestly never see anything like what you are describing.

People are making posts asking for money from Facebook friends?

No, there are dedicated groups "Helping hands for strangers in need" "A safe space to ask for financial assistance" or some dumb shite like that....people make posts in there but they're not private groups so facebook will put them on your for you page even if you don't sign up, and even if you click not interested, you'll just get different groups with the same things

For the most part people just shame the shite out of them and tell them to get a fricking job, but some of them have to be getting funded or else they wouldn't keep trying

Gotchya.

No doubt it’s some con artists in India or Nigeria.
