Build a couple mountains in the gulf to create an extra land mass hat the hurricane has to cross before our coast.

Huge turbines on the Gulf bottom that can produce an upwelling of cooler water as storms approach.

Get Elon Musk to have SpaceX build launchpads all around the Gulf. In unison launch rockets right as the storm approaches lifting up a giant Kevlar shield. For added bonus points if he could leave a gap in the shield around Alabama I’d not object,

Drop several tons of marshmallows into the eye of the storm. This will do three things. The added mass will slow down the air circulation. The marshmallows will be soft enough they won't do any harm if they hit something. Thirdly they will be delicious.

I went to Grand Isle and did that Karate Kid wax-on, wax-off move. Clearly it worked.

If Hollywood has taught me anything, it's that a nuclear warhead is the answer to any natural disaster.

Asteroid? Nuke it
Earthquake? Nuke the fault line
Earths core stops spinning? A nuke is basically an AED for the planet

Theoretically, this should work.

Not sure what other adverse effects it would have though, or if such a project is even possible.

There used to be a show called Sci Fi Science and theoretical physicist Michio Kaku once suggested placing a crap load of buoys out in the ocean that siphoned deeper, cooler water to the surface. It worked on the natural up and down motion of the water. I don’t know if anything like that would be practical, but it was an interesting idea.
