The dude has been coaching Ohio State for over 7 years, everyone that keeps spouting he was born on third base is foolish.
He was born on 3rd base and now has giant check book from boosters paying to keep him there.
That isn't necessarily a bad thing, its just the current landscape of college football. When you can write a big check and fill in positions of need and add quality proven starters and depth depth and retain your most important talent that's a big giant head start on most other teams.
Same could be said with A&M, Longhorns, Tx Tech, Oregon, etc.

I can't say because I would never buy that crap.
It's ground beef pre-portioned out and formed into patties. If you aren't seasoning your ground beef before forming patties and you are Ok with the serving size it's just a bit of time savings and make cooking easier and more consistent with all of the patties portioned out the same.
I'm pretty simple with any beef. Liberal amounts of salt and pepper or perhaps seasoning salt blend on the cooked side after I flip. Then again the 2nd side once I take it off the grill.

My wife's first Mazda CX5 in 2015 had a giant screen but wasn't a touch screen and use a knob/button interface between the shifter and the arm rest where your hand naturally rests when you have you arm on the arm rest. Much of the negative reviews of the car were because of this non-touch interface. Mazda put in because it's much safer to use and you don't have to take your eyes off the road to interface with android auto/ car play. Thought it was a negative at first but after a few days of getting used to it I now think every car should have this interface. Her new 2023 CX5 also has it in there. Supposedly going away in new interations of the car but that's a shame because it's so drastically superior to the touch interface as far as distracted driving is concerned.
GMT800 2500 Suburban/Yukon XL 6.0 v 8.1?
Posted by DeoreDX on 12/4/25 at 10:57 am
Facebook Marketplace algorithms must be dialed in to me cause I keep seeing nice clean GMT800 2500 Suburbans at great prices and now they have piqued my interest. Mainly want it for medium duty bumper pulling around 5-8klbs either my little 4klbs travel trailer or 8-9klbs loaded car hauler with either a TJ/JK or FZJ80 cross country to the west coast for 4x4 trips which is a once every 2 years type of trip. But if it could pull the car hauler and the 4x4 I would probably use it more for local off road trips here in the SE.
I currently use a 1st gen Sequioa which is OK with the 4k travel trailer at least around here in the flattish SE terrain but isn't suitable for towing the car hauler. Would be a daily driver though I don't really drive much as I work from home. Most of the miles on my sequoia are from big long trips off roading and mountain biking.
Feels like the 6.0 would be great for 99% of my driving have a ton of aftermarket support and parts availability and better gas milage but then I think about that drive out west and that big 8.1 might be real nice when pulling 8k lbs across the rockies and sierra nevada mountains. Maybe the 6.0 is good enough? Would love to hear some feedback to those of you who had both.

Don't need the fancy 5-7-30 ply the good old 3 ply is great stuff.
18/0 stainless exterior for induction compatibility, with 18/10 stainless interior for the non-reactivity and ease of maintenance wrapped around an aluminum core for excellent heat conduction and distribution you get the strengths of all three with the drawbacks of none.
Looks for sales on their web page or when they put up 2nds. Doesn't need to be All-Clad, Made in and a number of other clad cookware makers make good stuff.

re: What is the best office prank you either did or saw?
Posted by DeoreDX on 12/2/25 at 3:44 pm to Purplehaze
When I was a co-op I shared an office with a draftsman and a junior engineer. Had an empty rubbing alcohol bottle. Filled it with water and I put it between myself and the draftsman. Engineer comes in and I as the draftsman to pass me the alcohol. I took bit hit off the bottle and passed it to the draftsman. He takes a big hit off of it. We had planned on turning around and offering it to the engineer where we would reveal our prank. He just shook his head as the draftsman was taking a shot and said "You guys are fricking idiots" and walked out of the room before we could say thing.
The draftsman has this wall plaque in the office with a little clear box on it filled with dirt from turner stadium in Atlanta when they tore it down. Draftsman was showing it to us one day popped the little container of dirt off to show it to us. Another co-op noticed it looked like the filling from a reeces peanut butter cup. So other co-op took the dirt out of the container stashed it someplace safe and filled it with crumbled reeces peanut butter cup filling. Sat like this for a couple of weeks until one day draftsman and co-op were arguing about something so co-op pull the container of "dirt" off the plaque and proceeded to eat it in front of the draftsman. I thought the draftsman was going to kill the co-op

re: My son wants an e-bike for Christmas, and I know nothing about them

E-Bike is a pretty wide segment. Pedal assist. Throttle. Dirt bike style. Mountain bike style. One made for the road? The problem with most of the cheap Chinese made ones is they use crap components especially the brakes. I wouldn't even begin to consider one that didn't have good name brand reliable 4 piston brakes and 203mm rotors.
Did a gravel race yesterday. Have historically done the 60ish mile route (65-67 miles) but after realizing I hate riding gravel that long I did the 30ish mile route last year on the single speed. Decided to bring my normal gravel bike this year with gears and everything. Not much competition in the 30ish (37 miles) group with around 50 rides in the various age/gender groups. Had 3 athletes from our mountain bike team compete in the 30 mile and one other coach. One athlete sagged back early at mile 3 after a big hill climb. I tried to pull him back to the group who quickly went out of sight but he dropped off my wheel so I tried to bridge the gap before they hit the road section at mile 6.5. There were 4 in that lead group and I know if they hit the road before I catch up I'll never be able to catch them. I slowly started reeling them in but I was still a couple of hundred yards off their tail when they hit the road and I never saw the group again. I was pushing hard threshold so I dropped back down to a nice tempo pace and went solo. The 2nd longer road section after the aid station at mile 20 is 5 miles of brutal just enough false flat soul sucking elevation gain you mentally think you should be going faster and you are riding head first into the prevailing wind. With a good line of riders you can easily do 18-19mph in this section but I was having to push hard threshold just to keep it at 14-15 solo.
Mile 30 had my right calf want to cramp. I think I was pedaling oddly the first 30 miles because I started the day with a bit of pain in my right hip and I was compensating trying to protect my hip.
4 in the lead group finished at 2:08. I finished at 2:24. The rest of the field started tricking in around 2:35.
3 drank 2.5 955ml water bottles
13 "Fruit Slice" gummies I lightly misted with water and sprinkled mortons light salt on to make electrolyte gummies. 12g of carbs each. for 156g of carbs
2 hammers gel packs with 25g of caffeine and 22g of carbs each.
1st of 5 in my 40-49 age group. 5th out of 50. 198g of carbs total 50g of caffeine and 2.4l of water.

There isn't a better factory sock vehicle made to traverse extremely rugged trails than a Jeep Rubicon. Under the right driver the Rubicon would go down trails most people couldn't imagine driving safely. The rest of the vehicle is window dressing for the selectable locker equipped Dana 44's, sway bar disconnects, and 4:1 transfer case. The number of people who actually use the capabilities are probably fractions of a percent. If you don't have a need for selectable lockers on D44's and electronic sway bar disconnects with the ability to run 37" tires reliably with very little modification pretty much any other vehicle on the market is a better option than a Jeep.
Geographically Auburn sort of sits right in the middle of UA, UGa, and UF. You don't necessarily have to get the top 5 players out of each of those regions to build a pretty nice team. Historically Auburn would pluck a handful of top 20 players sprinkle in one or two big recruiting wins in there and build a nice competitive team. NiL has changed the landscape so it's about who can afford the highest payroll. Just not sure Auburn can compete in this landscape in football. School and fanbase size is just too small compared to the much larger state schools.
They are all a 1 on the binary scale. Is there really a need to elaborate beyond that?

I don't watch enough Falcons to say if Robinson is great or not. But in this example video he wasn't touched until he was 25 yards down the field. That's excellent blocking.
re: Can anyone else not eat spicy food anymore?
Posted by DeoreDX on 10/9/25 at 10:49 pm to Fishinguy3527
For me it started in the mid to late 30's. Always loved spicy foods. My a-hole begs to differ though. Interesting enough how "hot" the spicy is at my mouth doesn't always match the exit spice and doesn't always trigger. Sometimes I will eat something really hot and no effect. Sometimes I will eat something very mildly spicy and it burns coming out more than coming in. I could probably sit down and figure out exactly what spice sets me off but I've been too lazy. I do think cayenne seems to effect me more than a habanero or jalapeno, or whatever Koreans use.

Soy sauce, sugar, ginger, garlic, sesame oil in a bag then into the souse vide.
Boil the bag juices and add a little corn starch to slightly thicken it. Slice and serve with sauce on top.

Have chat GPT draw up a fake legal sounding cease and desist letter threatening legal action and mail it certified to their house.
My son went with the Druid put an 1 degree angle set and Ziggy link mullet setup. 150/130 But that high pivot and the rearward axle path is amazing the way it eats up chunk. The rear end feels more like a 170 bike going through chunk.
