What’s the smallest square footage you could live in comfortably?

Given your current situation (single, married, kids, etc.) what would be your cut off point in terms of square footage on a home? And what are you in now?
I know everyone on the OT can afford 20,000 sq ft so the question isn’t what you live in, but what you could live with.
To answer my own question, I’m currently married no kids in a 750sq ft apartment. I’d really like to get into something bigger. Around 1200 or so. But I’m not uncomfortable. However, we have storage in the basement that we would be up a creek without.

Married and 4 kids. Minimum is 3,500 sqft 4bdrm/3bath. Right now in 4,200 sqft 5bdrm/4bath.

The 1300 sqft I am in now is starting to feel small.

Single, so studio. I’m pretty easy to please living wise. I just need a pool and balcony, and I’m good.

1100-1200 sq ft. Married with one kid

My dream home is a tiny apartment in busy NYC, so probably 500-550 sq. ft.

2100 now. Seems large to me, but the wife keeps buying large shite.
No one needs a dining room armoire. We have plenty of cabinets to store shite. I don't even know what's in there.

We have 2580 right now and it's such a waste of space for 3 people. We have rooms that we rarely ever go in

In 850 now with a 19 month old. About to upgrade to about 2200 or so though. We're lucky we have lots of storage space in this house right now, or it would be a lot harder to have dealt with. This is doable, but I wouldn't want to have another kid in this house.

I was comfortable in a 615 sq ft apartment 25 years ago, and that place had some dead space in it.

2,000 living. The real trick is storage. I need a shop for all my tools and yard equipment.

Single, no kids. I had a studio apartment before Katrina and could easily live in one again if I had to.

Mine was 480 when I lived there. Been there, done that and never want to go back other than to visit.

Just moved into a 1900sq ft house but was looking for around 2,00-2,200.
Master bedroom and closet a little small but who cares I only sleep there anyway. Rest of the house sq ft is fine with me. I don’t want a big house to keep up. I’d rather have money to travel, hunt, and fish.

Living space? 2500-3000.
Married with several kids doesn’t lend itself to Ikea 960 sqft lofts.
