I would be more than happy to live in a tiny apartment in Italy or France.

I sold a 3 and 2 with 2 offices.
1452 sq ft.

Paid cash for 1050 sq ft 2 and 2. Put in all new kitchen, new a/c new heater.

Can't wait to flip it.

It is much quieter neighborhood, more convenient shopping. but.... Need. More. Space.

Single and no kids. 1700 sq ft, can’t remember the last time I went in 2 extra bedrooms and 1 extra bathroom. It’s nice when out of town friends visit though.

2 of us living in a 5 BR 3 full bath laundry room, 2 car garage. There are parts of the house I might go through once every 6 months.

We are downsizing and could live comfortably in 1k

Wife, 2 kids, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 4 chickens.

5 br 4.5 bath 4 car garage.

I can’t imagine being in a house smaller than 3500-4000

Our RV (5th wheel) comes in right under 500. The two of us are very comfortable in it. Right now we live at an RV Resort so it is great.

We will be buying land on the water in the next few weeks and even if it comes with a house, we still like living in our RV and my sis can live in the house.

Living in 7900 currently, it’s to much. 4000 to 4500 would be ideal. 3000 would be doable. Family of four. A big house sounds like a good idea, in reality it’s not unless you have big parties all the time or make a bunch of small rooms. Ours is only 4 bedrooms, we just made all the rooms in the house larger than normal. Because of that we still have the same sleeping arrangement issues we had in our 2000 sqft house at the holidays but a shite ton more space to clean and air condition. 1/2 the sq footage would be ideal with one or two more bedrooms or rooms that could double as a bedroom when needed. This ties into the living room thread. We have a “formal” living room. A huge waste of space. Not much living goes on in there.

3200 sq. ft. Six of us in the house now, If it ever gets down to me and the wife, we will down size for sure. How small, not sure. My problem is I have about 1700 sq. ft. work shop I don't want to do without.

We moved out of nearly 5k sq ft and are renting 1400 sq ft while we get the other house ready to sell. The house we’re renting is too small. I need more space.

My first house was right under 900 square ft. I can probably do with a little less than that in my current situation with kids but if I was alone, i could do with way less

Depends on configuration and flow. But for wife and me, a range of 1500-1800 ft would be ample - a bare min of 1200-1400 could be ok. 2 baths a must.

1800 to 2000 sq. ft. Minimum. Have lot of wall art and a grand piano. Takes up a load of space.

Married, no kids... Could be happy in 1000 square feet, possibly as low as 800.
