Catholic is not that expensive, and there are plenty of people bright enough to graduate from college and graduate school who never did for one reason or another. Nice of you to suggest flunking out or drugs, however.

The Nexus of the reason is pretty simple. He started working in Washington got a great job with the idea of going back to school. He attended American University, which is consistent with that. And he ended up just deciding that his work and work experience was more important. A lesson that many people should learn in this country.

Dude, starting a college degree, and proving you have what it takes to finish it, is one of the bare minimums for many professional careers, even today.
This is the same flawed argument for people who think they should be multimillionaires and demand 6 figure incomes straight out of high school.
Now, are you claiming Garrett is some type of savant that the world would have been deprived of his gifts in "public service" had he stayed on to finish his degree?

11k a year after taxes isn’t cheap. Add another kid or 2 and you are writing 25K in checks a year. That’s why people feel like they are getting a break if their kids live at home and go to a local college.
