Don’t trust military recruiters. Read everything and understand it before you sign. The recruiter got me.

Same. Divorce process definitely favors women, with all the bs accusations they can make and not have proof of anything

Don't smart off to someone who might whip your arse. Seventh grade, Mexican kid in El Paso rides his bike by my house. For no reason, I said "that sure is a shitty looking bike." He got off the bike, gave me a fair but complete arse whipping, then got on his bike and left.

Dad was in the house, just back from Vietnam. He said "you deserved what you got." The kid and I became friends after that. His mother made the best cheese enchiladas I've ever had.
True csb.

Kudos to your old man.

Taught you about signing checks you can’t cash AND how to be a good dad.

I shot a man in Reno just to watch him expire, ended up hearing Johnny Cash live afterwards at Folsom.

Running in a boat at night with lights off can help you see things a bit better but another boat doing that same stupid shite coming at you is a problem for both boats.

This really doesn't make any sense. The running (nav) lights you should have on while running your boats should be positioned to where they aren't even in your vision which prevents them from ruining your night vision while also allowing other vessels to see you and know your directions

Unless you are running around on a boat with the spotlight on all the time which would indeed be stupid

I learned Baton Rouge sucks. Stayed there after graduation and didn’t realize how shitty it was until moving. It slowly eats at your soul. Life immediately improved after leaving.

Outside of basic pleasantries, never talk to cops. Absolutely nothing good can come from it and it will be used against you.

I learned to shut my fricking mouth. I'm autistic and it's hard at times but I learned that once your words are out you can never take them back.

When you are down on your luck, don't be afraid to ask for help or admit you need help. Pride is your biggest roadblock.

’down on your luck’ is a misnomer and usually means someone needs to take some personal responsibility first and foremost before asking for help

my granddad told me the cut off switch didnt work, so of course his cheap arse would jerry rig it instead of getting a new one. Some kind of lever that i was supposed to move over and tap the plug with, and cut off the spark flow to the cylinder. Dont remember if i did it wrong or the whole thing was just a sick joke (i was like 9 yrs old), but i definitely remember the feeling of completing that circuit with my body.

Many years ago, this is the way lawnmowers would come from the factory.

There was a bent metal lever that extended over the spark plug, and to turn off the mower you pushed (stepped on) the lever with the bottom of your shoe to turn off the mower.

You only touched that metal piece with your hand once. Lesson learned.
