My wife is two or three years into menopause and is a non-sexual being.
She lets me have her, but unless you’ve had sex with someone completely detached from what’s happening, you can’t imagine how horrible it is.

This is an interesting point you make. I feel like the first time I’d heard of perimenopause was when my wife mentioned it around the time she turned 45. I’d always heard about menopause and was pretty well versed on what it entailed but I was new, relatively, to the concept of perimenopause. Maybe it’s one of those things that people just always generalized until recently.
Perimenopause has been interesting to say the least. I find the most noticeable thing is the fluctuations in mood. She’s also hot all the time, so our house is like a meat locker.
That seems pretty consistent. The good news is that it might only last 10 years - if we’re lucky.

I'm not being my usual a-hole self, but it's harder on her than on me.
She wants to bang anytime. But, she'll have her period, finish, and then start again a week later for 2-3 days. Mood changes are not due to hormones, but more her teenager being a PITA.

Disconnect the A/C system from the current thermostat, add a wifi thermostat in a hidden location. That way she can adjust the dummy one up and down all she wants, while you control the real one. She will be happy and you will be comfortable.

Today I was reminded that the laws of space and time don’t always apply.

I'll be honest, I am glad I have balls and not a gash.. Once a month woman bleed for several days. That really does seem more difficult that anything men have to deal with. If you get hit in the balls, that is temporarily worse than dealing with the monthly issue women do.. But we are talking.. 5 mins at most of pain.
