Same as dealing with teenagers.

Patience.

They aren't always in full control of what they say/do. Their hormones can override their brains. Be as supportive as you can. It's a season of life and will pass.

honestly I think the hot flashes occurred more at work than home. never was a battle for the thermostat. most of the male GPs she saw were totally unaware of the symptoms and were prescribing all kinds of drugs to help.
been on HRT for years now and sees only female docs now.
I didn't notice an uptick in irritability or anger mgmt (any more than normal)
Libido fell off a cliff (which she readily admits) and uses various hormones to help. to no avail. her body still swells at certain times of the month. weird how that works.

Generally normal with spikes of psychosis.

Sexual relations are not less frequent really.

Temperature issues are not great for her and she feels like shite sometimes, but the brain breaking occasionally is real and she admits that… as a general matter and never as to a specific incident. Apologies are rarer than anal.

Idk but i lived with a “man” o pausal older man for a few years. Roid rage from the TRT and other hormone type stuff he bought off the internet. Preoccupied with having sex all the time due to fear it would stop working.

Father time is undefeated for all of us. Be kind to each other and appreciate the good times.

Thanks for the honesty.

Your assumption that the married people that aren't miserable are lying is simply your own projection.

It's not bad. My wife is great.
Also, second wife.
The first one.......
Hate to say it, but she was right, we needed to break up.

That said, the fun is not knowing when it will end.

Menopause, Marriage, Life, any of the above.
I just take it one day at a time as best I can.

Good and bad.

You’ve lived life fighting over the thermostat. Now she gets hot flashes and pretends you haven’t been saying the same shite for 20 years.

That's usually the case.
Every divorced guy I know was living in marital bliss(according to him) right up until the minute he got divorced.
