What’s an overused saying that annoys you?

For me it’s “you can’t make this up”.
Every time I’ve ever heard that, it’s about a story that is totally ridiculous, nonsensical, and easily-fabricated. It’s always something that would be really easy to lie about.
The only way the story wouldn’t be easy to lie about is if it’s rock solid and contains all the necessary proof.
I just really annoys me when people say you can’t lie about something that’s actually really easy to lie about.
