Hate all you want, but if you ever up your F150 to a King Ranch, you will drive one forever. You’ll never go back to one of the other trim packages.

It may be a waste of money, but that’s just how it is.

I was joking around before a corp meeting and saying that shoes and underwear are things you cannot go cheap on when our divisional president (who I was sure wasn't really paying attention to me) leaned in and said: "Wes, go ahead and add condoms to your list. You'll thank me later."

Dude was a no fun, stick up the arse Midwestern dude and I laughed so hard at that.

I've actually just been promoted to Assistant to the Assistant Manager. Still trying to climb that corporate ladder.

Backpacking gear.

Acoustic guitars (I bought a beater to keep at a rental and it is painful—literally and emotionally—to play if after my Taylors)

Skis. My Rossi Super 7s are now 7 years old and are still like cheat codes on the mtn. Any condition or terrain.

I somewhat agree with coffee. But I’m often disappointed even with the expensive stuff. I think it’s all about freshness.

House paint.

Chainsaws.

Long list really.

Power tools.

I'll buy a harbor freight cheapo special for a one-time project.

But if I need it more than once, I'm getting DeWalt or Makita. Not a Milwaukee baller, but we all have dreams.

Community is excellent coffee.

If you've traveled much and had regional coffee from other places you'd know this.

To the OP, quality tools and good bourbon.

And unless I get poor again, I'm not driving cheap cars.

Bidets, If you ever go Salzburg, stay at the Goldener Hirsch, beautiful Austrian hotel. A Villeroy and Bosch will change your life. Not sure if available here…

Car speakers (not expensive but can’t have a terrible one)

Same for TV speakers

It is a drastic difference in experience for even a modest upgrade

I am no snob. But, If you own a large enough SUV and don't have 2nd row captain's chairs, I might look down on you. And I've ingrained that necessity into my kids, so they too may look down on your ride as well.

Community to me just has a certain taste and I don't love it. I'm no coffee connoisseur by any means but I don't really like it. It's better than Maxwell House or some shite like that though.

Nice sunglasses. Costa, Maui Jims, etc. I thought I can just use Blenders. Nah, not close to the lens quality.

Yeah, it is a huge game changer. My teenager is driving a 2013 Toyota with the 60/40 split, and my wife has the exact same SUV a few years newer with the captain's in the middle and it is such a better more useful design. There is even a nice flip-up set of cupholders attached to one seat. Fold it down if you've got someone going to the third row, and flip it back up if you need it. All of these crossover and midsize SUVs should steal the more useful features from Minivans like this.

I'll add heated and ventilated car seats. The wife's is loaded out, and the front seats have air and heat, and the captain chairs in the middle row have heat only. Getting in there in August in the south and turning that air on the seat to full blast is a great invention.
