Asbury Park NJ. Two blocks from the ocean. Even though Asbury didn't get hit near as bad as the rest of the Jersey Shore I would leave for a 3 plus. Was in Metry when Katrina hit and don't want to go through that again.
Was in Hoboken for Sandy and got 2 feet of water in garage and no power for a week

Ascension and I would leave for anything that looks like it will knock the power out for a while. I have three young kids and I will not do the no A/C thing every again.

Baton Rouge...nothing can make me leave

I'm in Laffy and have big trees surrounding the house, so I would leave for a direct hit that's a 2 or more, but I wouldn't leave town. My friend's house here is built like a bunker with a generator and I'd crash there with the family.

We don't run in Ohio.
But another glacial attack would probably do it

I'd be real iffy staying for a 3.
This is about the cutoff for me, and I'm in Metairie. Just not worth it to stay when there are several places to go and my insurance premiums are paid up.

I've never evacuated for a storm so I probably wouldn't start now. Granted, I've always lived at least 30-40 miles inland or more and not in an area that would/could flood.

Covington/Goodbee area
Would have to be a large 4. No trees around my house and not in a flood zone. Plenty of food/water/supplies

Broussard and it would take a lot. Left for Gustav and went to Alexandria. Ended up stuck in worse weather then if we wouldve stayed home. No big trees around my house so I am not worried about getting crushed. I love to camp so I would treat it as a damn camping trip in the backyard and empty the meat in the freezer and the drinks in the garage fridge.

All my biggest trees came down during Gustav and we seem to be on a part of the grid that gets repaired quickly. So...not going anywhere.
this is what i thought also because i didn't lose power during Gustav and i live near East Jefferson Hospital. but then i lost power for over 4 days after Isaac.

Ponchatoula and probably a 2 or higher. Left for katrina and glad I did. Returned to little damage to my place. Was out of power for 11 days 3 of which we suffered through after we returned. Also my Dad is 78 and lives with us and has a few medical issues. I also live on a dead end road off of hwy 22 so we are always one of the last to get power. No sense in putting the Old Man through all of that crap if I can afford to leave.

Houma LA
It would have to be a strong cat 4 or a Cat 5 for me to leave. Cat 3 or less I am staying put. I left for Gustav but that was a mistake. I now have a diesel genset that will run the entire house for over a week without refueling. Short of my roof ripping off I will be ok.

Da Parish
I'd like to think those new levees and the Great Wall will save us all... but I know who built them...
Cat 1 wife and kids would go spend time at in-laws in Baton Rouge
Cat 2 I'd stay but at a neighbor's house that has whole house generator. Mainly to keep an eye on things and start any necessary repairs of my house
Cat 3 I'm joining family in BR
Cat 4 or 5 we are all going to my family in central Mississippi
Of course, with Katrina a tree landed on one of my cousin's houses in central MS.

Metairie. Probably an upper CAT2. I can survive on my own, but I'm not leaving my kids in harms way.
