He's no longer in business, but Laozi ice cream in New Orleans made the best ice cream I ever had, especially his Creole cream cheese or beaucoup butter pecan

Been windy all week and highs in the mid 60s.
Wind picked up a few hours ago and finally started to rain.
I'm two blocks from the ocean in NJ, hopefully we don't lose power, not worried about flooding here, we didn't flood during Sandy

I love where our place is by the Fair Grounds.
Two block walk to Canseco's, Cafe Degas, Terranova's, The Bell, Santa Fe, 1000 Figs, Swirl wine shop,, Liuzza's By the Track.
Can walk to bayou St john, City Park, Pal's.
And for jazz fest the neighborhood is right there for 8 days and it quiet the rest of the year.

One of my favorite places. I'm over by the track and not too excited about the move. It only adds five minutes of drive time for me but I have a feeling that will be five excruciating minutes lol

This is a big answer, I met so many people after Katrina who had never left their neighborhood, let alone the city or state. They discovered a big world was out there.
I moved away for good in 2006, I cook the food I miss, and love the food here in NJ.
Louisiana, esp new Orleans isn't as cheap as it once was to live.

As a new jersey resident, I have no problem with this.
In my town I wish the cops would do something about drivers who don't stop for people in crosswalks, bikers and scooter riders included.

There's a guy at the city park Sunday farmers market (New Orleans) that has his stuff in the back of his old pickup.
I love buying my produce from him, he reminds me of my grandfather and sounds just kike him.
My issue with some of the farmers markets by me (NJ) is it's one produce vendor, one small bread person, a pickle guy, and then tons of vendors selling earrings etc.

I will take a guess and say you are talking about EO? Unless one of the other owners also went to EJ. Lol.
Him and Greg and the others will hopefully do well.
I think EO and I have known each other since we were 9-10 years old from Airline Park playground (before it became Miley for you youngsters).
