Too much of a hassle for us to leave for anything less than a 4. Thankfully we do live on high ground, our house was built with cinder blocks, and our power is on the same grid as the hospital so we are usually among the first to have power back.

I live in Lakeview. The house I'm in had 8+ feet of water for Katrina.
If its a Hurricane of any size and its going to be a fairly direct hit, I'm out. I'll go somewhere for a few days. I might even leave for a TS just to get the frick out of town for a day or two.

my place that i'm at right now is a on the second story of a condo complex and is about 30ft above sea level, I could tell you it would have to be a bad storm to make me evacuate, especially all the times i have told people"psssh.. super storm sandy was jack shite compared to katrina.. you yankee pussies...", while heavily drinking.
i know during the,"super blizzard", in the beginning of feb that the waves we're carrying water from the pier/waterfront to the street and it wasn't that bad of storm. If they did ever get hit buy a bad storm up here it would wipe out a good bit of coastal maine towns simply because they sit right on the water

I'm in Lafayette and would leave for anything above a 2. I have no reason to worry about storm surge or flooding but I have a yard full of trees(white oak, water oak, pecan, cypress) and would rather not be around when they fell on my house.
If I lose power for any significant amount of time I'm out also but that would be post storm

Hammond north of I12. Before I'd stay for 3 and under, but my folks just moved to Folsom and have a big house and a generator, so I'd probably just take the family up there.
