Spending the whole day just laying on the couch watching TV and not feeling guilty about it.

I never understood what it was like to have someone so overjoyed when I arrive home.

My little boy thinks it's the most amazing thing in the world, and the only thing he wants to do is spend every single moment thereafter, with me.

A little slice of heaven. The best feeling in the world is dropping your kids off at carpool after they’ve been fighting the entire ride. That instant peace is like a hit of heroin.

The 2 happiest days of my life is when the grandkids come for a visit, and when they leave.

Adding this: was never a pot head but enjoy the occasional toke from time to time. Sometimes miss Friday nights playing video games and ripping the bong on the couch.

Such a great feeling.

All bongs are required to enter the transfer portal when kids show up, and nearly all of them end up at Garage University

I like that much of my time is my own decision.

I used to have to frequently negotiate with terrorists as to their daily schedules.

hell I’ll take 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep, 3 year old and 5 month old are apparently nocturnal creatures

Sitting somewhere without having to talk to someone.

Just silence.

No one asking me “anything wrong?”

I feel for you guys. I raised my two kids and now they have their own.
It's nice to be able to do whatever the frick I want.

That said, I do miss those interruptions sometimes. But, then I have my two grandsons down for a weekend and that cures me for about 6 months.
