On clouds are literally shoes for dudes in their 20s. Any dad that is wearing them is either a young person in the target demographic or a dad trying to be young and hip still…. Or a coach.
They are comfortable as hell for distance running.
Only issue I have is that their color combinations suck.
They do make a nice waterproof forest green shoe though.

White New Balance. I don't give a dam what anyone thinks, I caught my limit of women 37 years ago. Same style white new balance every 6 months for the last 20 years at least. Keep the old pair for working outside of work. I do wear work boots to work though....

Dad here. I don’t have any of this shite. I largely wear slides and amphibious hiking shoes with no socks. Maybe some pumas or Lacoste shoes some days.
Most people just wear what everyone else wears so they don’t stand out.

I made the switch to the Brooks Ghost Max 3 and couldn't be happier
Upvote. Have mild neuropathy in my feet and walk a ton. These and the Clifton 10’s are the only shoes that feel good, but the Ghost Max 3’s are the best I’ve tried for long walks. Clifton’s are great for casual wear/standing.
Get off my lawn!

I’ve got both. Hoka Bondi and Brooks Glycerin.

Casual shoes dads wear with jeans are Citizen X’s, Hey Dudes, or Under Armour Speed Form. UA gives the High School Football coaches Speed Form’s, so that’s what the dads get.
I see more dads wearing Speed Form’s and Air Max Reax with shorts and Air Zoom for running than I do NB, Hokas, Brooks, or OC.
Insoles are important too. They are cheap, help with comfort, and keep your shoes from stinking.

Brooks are quality shoes. I used to run in the Adrenaline.
Hokas have too much stack height for me. And EVA foam degrades too fast. Hokas age poorly.
Newtons for running. Various Altras for the gym and work (though they have some models that are getting up there with Hokas in stack height).
How are there still adult men who think about whether shoes are "cool" or not? Do you work on your feet inside where you don't need boots? Get something good for your feet? If not, enjoy your cheaply made, bad for you feet, expensive "cool" shoes.

Dress shoes at work and Dunks on casual days. Too old to run, but I wear Saucony to jog on the trail by my house. Once you wear Saucony it’s hard to go back to anything else unless your running on a treadmill. Running on treadmills tear up shoes, so buy cheap have good insoles and replace every few months. I don’t use my running shoes everyday, so when I’m not wearing them I leave crease protectors in them to keep their shape
Nike Air Max with Superfeet Green insoles when I’m wearing shorts.

I've got a pair of OC; they're not comfortable but they look good?
Pair of Hoka's, they are comfortable but they're overly wide, not sure if anyone else has wide feet? I don't so I don't need that much space, but they are for sure comfortable.
Pair of North Face, trail runners. I probably wear these the most. I could stand in them for hours and be just fine.

Im not a dad but i am old (46).. tbh i had no idea Brooks were considered ‘dad shoes’.. luckily im of the age where i dont care, since Brooks are the only shoes ive found that keep my plantar fasciitis from flaring up.. i live overseas, just ordered another pair of Brooks Adrenaline 24s from Amazon and they cost me like double w/shipping & customs what they would have back home.. dont care though, having pain-free feet is too important to skimp on shoes & price .

Brooks and Saucony make quality running shoes. Hoka as well but damn they’re silly looking. Especially if you have big feet.
By “dad” shoes I guess you mean people that can afford to buy quality?
