Toyota Corolla.
Smooth, dependable, affordable. The perfect car for the person who doesn't give a shite about being flashy and just wants something that'll last for 200,000 miles.

The Corolla was my second favorite.

Someone has never actually driven a Corolla.
If you're wanting to make the "I don't give a shite about cars" point, you'd have been better off picking a Camry or Accord as those are large enough to comfortably fit the average family in and actually ride smooth and quiet. While still being inexpensive and reliable.
ETA: As for my perfect vehicle, I don't think it exists. My perfect vehicle would have the utility of a crew cab half ton with the fit and finish of say Lexus and the get around 35mpg combined while doing the 1/4 mile in under 14 seconds. Does that exist?

No such thing. To be extremely comfortable for my day to day activities, you'd have to be something along the lines of a full sized SUV. To be fun to drive, you'd have to be something like the Porsche you described. To allow me to do any hobby I wanted, it might be a truck. I could never come up with a perfect car. I'll eventually have a nice car and a cheap truck I guess to cover more of the spectrum.

I have a former colleague that rebuilds old Land Cruisers, as a hobby. Like will import middle east versions, and will convert them to US (Cali) standards.
