I’ve never considered myself a Porsche guy, but I find that I’m liking them more and more, the more I read and watch videos about them.

I have no idea. I pulled the pic from google, but remembered about their brake setup from hearing about it while watching an auction or some car show on TV.

I'm the opposite now I guess. Maybe just old. Last real (then real...) fast car I had was my first ever car. 87 Mustang GT Conv at 16. Only runner since was an Escalade with a it of a tune as it was the GM's driver. Wife had an E350 that could fly when floored. Heck, right now I'm driving my old 2001 Expedition I brought my daughter home in. Still pretty prestine and fine for toodling around in. I want that 911 so badly. Either I'm too frugal or too lazy or both.

Nothing wrong with that at all, I get it.

I guess for me it has a lot to do with the area. Exotics, even rare ones, are around town expecially on the weekends. Part of the draw to exotics is to have something different, to stand out (nd of course the performance) . It's hard for one to achieve that when you regularly see your same car in town or even your neighbor even has the same car in the same color.

I guess that is what draws me to classics.

Honestly, and I don't have an explanation for it, but I've found Porsche owners seem less pretentious about the car than other cars. It's almost like they are talking about the tiny performance nuance instead of the name or badge. You don't have the same "feeling" talking to someone about their BMW. That's about drive but mostly about interior tech this and that

Whatever the next great electric car with perfect auto drive but can go 0-60 in under 3s, 500+ miles of capacity, and still look good.

I’m interested in seeing what he’d sell it for, but I’m not interested in buying it.

Great pic of just one of the bewildering engineering ideas from Coventry.

Not really bewildering at all. Inboard brakes offer a host of advantages compared to outboard brake setups. It's a reason many race cars use this configuration.

Sprung mass and weight, reduction in heat, more efficient, and packaging are the main advantages.

Thx but Im not a buyer. Really nice truck, though. My HS friend who is like a brother still has his K10 Blazer Cheyenne 4wD. Typical red and white 80's 2 tone. I say has, it's been in his grandfathers barn since around 1992. He recently passed and now he has taken it out and is restoring it. It's going to be so nice. Pretty jealous.

Mine too.

Happy I get to drive one every day. Nothing quite like a screaming flat six hanging over the rear bumper.
