Georgia And Clemson Cancel Four Future Football Games

Georgia and Clemson have mutually agreed to cancel their two future home-and-home football series, eliminating four nonconference matchups scheduled between 2029 and 2033, according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

The agreement was signed by Georgia athletic director Josh Brooks and Clemson athletic director Graham Neff on March 12 but was revealed this week through an open records request.

The four canceled matchups were scheduled for:

Sept. 15, 2029 – at Clemson
Aug. 31, 2030 – at Georgia
Sept. 4, 2032 – at Georgia
Sept. 3, 2033 – at Clemson.

The cancellations come as both programs adjust to expanded conference schedules. The SEC's move to nine conference games, combined with Georgia's annual rivalry matchup against Georgia Tech, has complicated the Bulldogs' future nonconference scheduling.

Georgia has also canceled future home-and-home series with Louisville, Florida State, and NC State. The Bulldogs still have a two-game series with Ohio State scheduled for 2030 and 2031.
