What is your opinion of rude and arrogant college professors? Have you ever had one?
"Snooze you lose". "You're late". "You're not on time, Buster".
"I have the right to give you a pop quiz whenever I want to". "I don't care if you paid for this class with your money. My class, my rights".

I think rude and arrogant college professors are rude and arrogant.

Rude and arrogant professors.
I remember in college I had a professor who did not want to listen to our point of view on the subject in class.
He screamed at us.

They don't really know life outside academia. Product of their own environment, really. I can't imagine working at a university is a pleasant experience nowadays.

I have had them before and currently have one. I just wonder why they spend so much time being dickheads. It takes more effort to be an a-hole to students than to be nice so I have no clue why they do it. My current one actually said "there's no need to be nasty about me, I see the tigerdroppings threads and ratemyprofessor reviews"

There's a math teacher at LSU who taught 600+ at one time in the cox building.
If one student arrived late and walked through the front door, it would ruin her entire lecture.
600 people and this lady would get riled up by that one person being late. you can't expect a classroom the size of a small town to not have one person running late.

I mean that sucks, but the professor is well within their rights to do all of that. What I hate is when a professor goes out of their way to push their beliefs on you. I had a public speaking professor that would go out of her way to say how capitalism is the devil and socialism is the only answer.

Back in my days at Princeton we had this crazy arse Professor, he came to his 8 AM lecture in his robes and slippers. He was a smart guy knew his stuff, but a real weirdo.
Anyway first day he tells us how his class operates and says that he only gives pop quizzes on the days he comes into class through the window (his classroom was on the second floor) we all laughed. About 2 weeks in we're all sitting in class waiting for Dr Baker to show up, when someone notices a ladder being propped up to the building, yep Dr Baker fixing to climb in through the window, pop quiz time.
Anyway first day he tells us how his class operates and says that he only gives pop quizzes on the days he comes into class through the window (his classroom was on the second floor) we all laughed.
