My grandmother did a genealogy study and found our people were Scotch-Irish and somehow ended up in Alabama, then settled in North Louisiana.

GOOGLE - Irish people have always moved to Birmingham for work especially for the construction, factory and industrial work which the city had to offer. Many Irish people moved to Birmingham to build canals, roads and railways in the city's industrial past.

He's mostly western European. The Caucasus mountains are geographically in West Asia.


The whole Caucasian thing came from a German saying those people from that area were the most beautiful.

Haven’t done the DNA thing but I’ve traced ancestors to France, Italy, Spain, Corsica, Sardinia, and Canary Islands. So I guess that explains my olive complexion.

Two of my siblings have done this, two different firms that did their surveys.

Their results were very similar.

~90% British, and the rest a bit of North German and Scandinavian

One survey reported a trace of Ashkenazi ancestry.

The overall premise validates what we historically “knew”: that all of our ancestors were in the American colonies before the revolution with one exception. A Hessian mercenary who was captured during the revolution and stayed here after being released.

My surname’s ancestor was a surgeon in the Revolutionary Army.

Jewish is an ethnicity not a religion. The Jews changed the history books to fool people. Ask any real Jew what their ethnicity is and they’ll tell you Jewish.

My wife is Jewish

I did mine last year, like a lot of Kentuckians, heavy on the Scot/Irish, as in 23%. The rest was various parts of England and Wales. I do have have something like 11% northern France as my great grandmother on the maternal side was a LaFollette and descendents of French Huguenots. There was a small (7-8%) German DNA that showed up. I was able to track that to some distant grandparents on dad’s side.
