More than anything that has been said in response to this, I think it has more to do with our muscles being geared more towards the fine manipulation of tools. A chimp may be a frick ton more powerful than a person, but a person has a lot more precision and finesse. Might be wrong about this one, but I also think we have the best ability to throw with power and accuracy of any animals. We as a species are made to use tools.
This guy gets it. Humans have the ability to have much finer muscle control via the fact that our muscles are not an all or nothing response. Our entire muscle never contracts, rather the fibers alternate being flexed. We give up massive strength for the ability for much finer control.
Also where the frick are you that there is no weapon around. I mean I've killed some big shite with a stick before.

obviously none of y’all have dealt with cows. No human can hold a full grown cow until it suffocated or most definitely cannot break their legs with bare hands.

Because evolution pretty much dictates that we don’t need it. If you don’t use your muscles, you lose them.

Dammit. That's a good point.

I think the lynx was an offshoot in the same thread

I can't stop laughing - just imagining a grown man picking a fight with a manatee at the zoo.

Just swim up to the surface for a breath. They stay in pretty shallow, clear water, and they aren't fast so its not going to get away while you catch your breath.
Talk about a simple problem.

As far as a predator? Probably none. I could break the neck of a wren or a finch if that terrible beak did not peck at me!!!

Well, a human can certainly choke a chicken.
I've been choking mine for years and the best I've done is make it lay down for a few minutes. Eventually it gets back up.
