I-70 in Utah

It’s like 100+ miles without even a gas station
I-80 west of SLC to West Wendover NV is way worse.

Driven this stretch of road hundreds of times. While this is the closest thing resembling a decent road in Louisiana, it is stunningly monotonous and boring.

That nasty meat pie gas station in Nachi-trash is the worst.

I-65 from Mobile to Montgomery

This one has got to be the worst for me. There's nothing in between, and when you get to Montgomery, well it's Montgomery.

It certainly ranks up there with Jackson, MS to Memphis.

Both are like portals to hell

You talking about that chevron station ? On the northwest corner? Man, I used to stop there and load up on crawfish pies to take to the games, because Aramark had the concessions and they didn’t have one single thing you could eat. The cokes were awful, too.

I’m thankful I never have to worry about getting in my vehicle with the destination being either Shreveport or Opelousas

Any recs? I make the drive fairly often, and would like to have a go-to pit stop along the way…

Holy shite that brings back memories. When we lived in BR we always stopped at that place on the Hwy 6 exit on our way to the camp on Toledo. That place had the best gas station food on the planet. Fresh meat pies, fried crawfish tails, etc…..

Desoto Parish used to run radar big time. They’d hide in the undulating middle sections. You couldn’t see them cresting a hill.

Last speeding ticket I got was there in 2006.

This is the only road that makes my tummy tingle every time I see it.
