El Paso to San Antonio and vice versa is nothing compared to I10 through Florida or I65 Mobile/Montgomery. There's scenery.
I'd even take I70 Kansas over that. 55/55 through Missouri/Illinois sucks too.

I49 way better than 10 or 65 as mentioned

That’s the loneliest stretch of highway in America. Driving from Dallas to Houma to visit family is brutal when I hit this 200 mile stretch of nothingness

I-59 in Mississippi might be just as bad.

Tell me you've never driven I-40 west of OKC or I-25 from El Paso to Denver without saying it.

Really not that bad because you have towns to break up the drive

Drives that suck have no town in between to break things up. Like I-10 or I-65.

On I-59 you have Hattiesburg, Laurel, and Meridian boom boom boom to make things easier on your mental state.

I-70 in Utah

It’s like 100+ miles without even a gas station

I10 east because it gets me back to Florida where my kids can have a reasonable expectation of a decent future.

I-40 in the southeastern California desert is just as bad. "Next services 100 miles"

I-16 from Macon to Savannah is right up there with most boring interstate drives in the country. Not a damn thing but miles and miles of pine trees.

It is a beautiful drive. I have only seen it in the spring and summer but would enjoy seeing it in the fall.

That might be even worse because there is at least some beautiful scenery on that stretch of I-70

True story:
I've got 2 different speeding tickets on the same day on I 49
2 different times.
Swear to God

Even joked to a trooper that I got a ticket an hour ago from 'his Buddy' and he said yeah, I know, I was waiting for you!

.. ..

Anyway fvck all that noise, my uncle was the DA, so I've never paid a speeding ticket

If you think about it its the most Louisiana thing ever. With a state full of shite roads, the best road is in a deserted area.

relatively little traffic and not much wear and tear on the surface. The scenery between Natchitoches and Shreveport is nice, with rolling hills and even an occasional rock outcropping.

A road with little traffic usually holds up better

I70 from Kansas to Colorado is ghost town. You better fill up that gas tank.

No (or almost no) billboards on I 49 since it was built so “late” in the Interstate system.

You haven't driven I70 through Kansas then.

First couple hours, I saw a lot of corn. Next few hours, I saw more corn and not much else.

Always a pleasure to just set my cruise on 80 and enjoy a 6 pack on my relaxing 2.5 hour drive
So we can expect the Gatorade bottle (mostly) full of piss to be launched from the passenger compartment at approximately hour 2.0 into the journey?

I was actually thinking that when I posted it. I was hoping no one would catch it.
