Is that average for engineers only? Because if so, it’s not including people with engineering degrees who started out as engineers and worked their way up into management. They wouldn’t be considered engineers at that point, but they have an engineering degree and are likely way above the average.
I have a friend who has a chemical engineering degree and a MBA, who started out as an engineer at a plant and is now doing extremely well in management. To answer the OP, that’s a damn good combination if you are looking at doing a bachelors and a masters.

What did you look up? Average engineer position salary? Or average salary of someone who has an engineering degree? Again, I know very few engineers within my company who have been actual design engineers for 15 years. Within my product line, I can think of like 10 who truly still do engineering. On the other hand, almost everyone I work with has an engineering degree from sales, to management, to project coordinating, etc..

Over a 40 year career an MD making $200,000 still out earns a PA by a million after after accounting for differences in start time and taxes
Not to mention how some specialties still work 40 hours per week

I think a Materials degree, either through condensed matter physics graduate degree or in mechanical / chemical engineering. Materials is the root of literally everything. When the materials expert walks in the room everyone listens.

Sigh. You're really not getting this are you? I'm saying they're making that much AFTER the mal practice is figured in. There is no "medical malpractice fee" that comes out of the paycheck like taxes. They just never see it. It's factored into the salary.

I don't think you understand supply and demand. I've talked to MDs in NYC and San Diego. They make FAR less than those around here (BR). Those markets are saturated. Concierge or boutique doctors are a different story however.
