What is the best bachelors or graduate degree to obtain right now?

Total hypothetical here. Let's say the degree seeker is of high intelligence and could obtain any bachelors or graduate degree, but will rely on that degree for success.
( can't say get a business degree and start a billion dollar company of the degree seeker's personality.)

Degrees as the way to open the door to a particular job, outside of MDs and JDs for the most part, are overrated.
Get whatever you want, find something you like, and be awesome at it.
It's that simple. Don't play into the hands of everyone else.
And that's coming from someone with both a BA and MA in Literature, who doesn't work in that field and, whether you believe it or not, makes well into OT Baller status. And it's about to get crazier for me. So yeah, do what you love. I loved Literature, and stuff I learned mattered. And now I'm in SaaS Software.
Get whatever you want, find something you like, and be awesome at it.

I mean you can look these things up. Senior engineers in almost all disciplines with 10+ years experience average somewhere between 110-130k
