What is it with women and cruise control?

They won't use it. Speed up slow down the whole damn way. I'll sometimes ride with my wife or daughter, and after a while on the hiway I'll mention it and it's always a surprise to them that it's there. Trying to pass one is infuriating at times.

Few things annoy me more. Cruise set at 69 in the 55. Gain on car for 2 miles.. of course i have to pass them on the right, hey they gotta turn left in another 13 miles! As soon as i catch them the mother fricker speeds up.

They have to be in control. My wife has a car with adaptive cruise and she will not use it. She has to be able to pass and tailgate people who are "in her way"
Same thing with the automatic AC. She will not turn it on in the car. But understands and uses the thermostat in the house.

Pro tip - you can use the instantaneous fuel economy read out to infer what she is doing with her right foot for extra infuriation.
