Read about how St James parish fights just about everything that wants to come there. Then they complain they don't have decent jobs. Nothing is perfect but geez

What DO we want then?

I’ve put a lot of thought into this. And I’ve realized it’s pointless. The best I could come up is to make all government aid recipients maintain full time employment in order to receive benefits.

Also seems like we would farm more here being that we have an endless supply of water and sun.

You’re joking right?
Louisiana has a massive agriculture sector.

Timber, sugar cane, rice, crawfish, corn soybean and cotton are big.

Just seems like our money would have a better ROI if we shifted some of that to helping locally owned companies.

You data center retards. You can run 10k servers (virtual or physical) with 15 people on site. Everyone else can work from SFO or India.

Nobody should get any grants, ever. Not your friend, not Meta, nobody. Locally owned companies are some of the shittiest at management. Locally owned companies don't get funded, or get loans, because they SUCK at what they do.

Why would white collar headquarters/large footprints choose LA over TX?

Because Texas is oversaturated.
